The Madison Police Department reported last week that an unknown male in his mid to late forties attempted to lure four twelve (12) year old boys into his vehicle. According to the information released at this point in time, the victims were walking near the intersection of Ridgedale Ave and Sayre Court when an unknown male pulled up beside them in an SUV an told them to “get in”. Apparently the victims tried to ignore the suspect and keep walking. However, the suspects allegedly parked his vehicle and started to chase the victims on foot. When he was unable to get to any of them he returned to his vehicle and fled the scene. The SUV has been described as a greenish/yellowish box-style SUV. Also located inside the vehicle the victims claim was a women in her twenties with blond hair.
Both suspects fled the scene and remain at large at this point in time. If the suspect is caught he will most likely be charged with four counts of luring and endangering the welfare of a child. Depending on the women’s role, she may be charged with conspiracy to commit both crimes as well. Both charges are felony offenses and if convicted, could require the suspect to serve substantial time in a State Prison.
