A bizarre incident at EATalian Bistro in Madison, New Jersey ended with a twenty-eight (28) year old male from Brooklyn, New York being arrested. According to the information released at this point in time, the Defendant is alleged to have been creating a disturbance by walking around the restaurant in a thong and yelling obscenities at the other patrons just after 8 pm on Thursday. When the police arrived on scene they attempted to calm down the visible intoxicated Defendant but that was not working. As a result of their observations and complaints the Officer’s decided to arrest the Defendant. To make matters worse, after placing the Defendant into handcuffs he turned and head butted the arresting officer.
The Defendant based on his intoxication level was taken to Morristown Medical Center to be treated. He was formally charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a police officer and disorderly conduct. Since the aggravated assault and resisting arrest are felony offense, his charges will be transferred to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office for review. The Defendant will most likely have to make his first appearance at his Central Judicial Processing Hearing within the next week. That hearing takes place at the Morris County Superior Courthouse which is located in Morristown, New Jersey.
