Drunk Driver Arrested in Washington NJ
It is alleged that a Long Valley man was driving past a graveyard harassing visitors as they mourned in Washington Township last week. It has been reported that the Defendant was able to leave the scene and make it just a short distance down the road to his home. However, the individuals at the graveyard notified the police of his whereabouts and were his vehicle was located.
When the officers first approached the Defendant’s home, they decided to check the hood of his car to make sure it was warm to the touch. After, discovering that it was, they made contact with the Defendant, a forty year old male from Long Valley and put him through several field sobriety tests. Based on his performance, the Defendant was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was taken down to the station, processed and then released on a summons.
