Parsippany NJ DUI Lawyers
The Parsippany Police Department was involved in yet another police chase last week. According to the reports, the Defendant a thirty-three year old male from Livingston, attempted to out run the police after they tried to pull him over once they discovered he was park in the middle of an intersection. The Defendant allegedly initially placed his car in reverse in attempt to strike the officer’s vehicle and then he floored it. The Defendant even turned off his headlights in an effort to elude the police. To make matters even worse, apparently the Defendant misjudged a jug handle and ended up hitting the curb, a tree and going through a chain link fence. However, the Defendant did not stop there, he then cut through the Speedway Gas Station and re-entered Route 46. At this point in time he exited Route 46 and entered the Montville Business Park where he took off on foot. The Defendant was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.
He has formally been charged with eluding in the second degree, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving while suspended, failure to observe a traffic signal, driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and possession of an open container inside a motor vehicle.
